About Us

Angela Gauthier (Angie) - Has been in education for over 25 years. As a previous home schooler, private school teacher and librarian when her children were young; she was most recently the pre-law advisor, academic counselor and instructor at the University of Oklahoma, from 2008 - 2014.  A native Minnesotan, she and her family were transplanted to Colorado for 18 years before trekking through the Midwest in search of bad weather (husband in the weather business). Her undergraduate work is in sociology: criminal justice with a psychology minor from the University of Northern Colorado; her master’s degree is from the University of Oklahoma in Human Relations: counseling emphasis (MHR).  As a certified paralegal, Angie has worked in a variety of legal settings, owned a coffee shop/book & craft store/health food coop in Elbert, CO, and has a plethora of library and educational experience.  She has extensive interest in education and assisting others to find their bent. She currently teaches at Colorado Mesa University as an integral part of the new pre-law track. 

 

Notes of Interest - Married to Mike Gauthier since 1987; two children both college graduates, both going on to graduate school. Interests include: reading (non-fiction and historical fiction), language origins, boating/fishing, and gardening.
